Traction for Action Demonstrator

The kit includes a demonstration board with a laminated scale to show three different road surfaces, and a model car constructed to allow you to demonstrate the following:

  • Pitch, roll, and yaw axis
  • Loss of traction to the rear wheels, front wheels, and all four wheels
  • The road grip for the best driving surface, a worn driving surface, an ice surface, and with sand on the roadway
  • The road grip with good tires and worn tires
  • The window of opportunity to control a skid and the point at which lost opportunity occurs
  • The difference in performance while within the traction envelope and when well over the traction envelope

There are three different road surfaces to demonstrate how the amount of grip the tires have on the road is constantly changing. And, when there is a reduction of traction, there is a reduction in steering, braking, and acceleration control.

The kit comes with a specially structured car that allows you to demonstrate the affects of loosing traction to the front wheel, the rear wheels and all four wheels. You can also demonstrate effects that acceleration, braking, and steering has upon the pitch, roll and axes.
